The new Motorola razr (2019) doesn't accept a physical SIM, it uses a non-removable embedded eSIM instead. Don’t worry, setting up your eSIM is easy to do.
How do I get an eSIM for my Motorola razr?
When you buy a Motorola razr from EE it should come with an eSIM pack. If you don't have the eSIM don't worry, it's easy to order a new or replacement one, here’s how:
How do I set up the eSIM on my Motorola razr?
If you’re new to EE and you bought your Motorola razr directly from us, we’ll provide you with an eSIM pack that contains a QR code to use for setup.
To set up with a QR code, first make sure you’re connected to the internet and then:
- Go to Settings > Network & internet > Mobile network > Advanced > Carrier
- Select Add carrier
- Now use your camera to scan the QR code on your eSIM pack - once recognised your eSIM will automatically begin downloading
If you’re upgrading your phone to the Motorola razr, once you’ve set up the eSIM on your phone you’ll need to complete a SIM swap
You’ll also need the 12-digit SIM serial number from your eSIM pack and be able to receive a pin verification to your old SIM. If you can’t use your old SIM, you’ll need to contact us so we can swap this over for you. Call 150 from an EE phone or 0800 956 6000 from an alternative line.
What if my eSIM QR code or Motorola razr camera is damaged?
If this is case, unfortunately we can't support the manual entry of a QR code on your Motorola razr.
If you're having issues downloading your eSIM call 150 from an EE phone or 0800 956 6000 from any other.
