What and where is my IMEI number?

Your IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is your device’s unique 15-digit serial number. It can be used to check a devices country of origin, manufacturer and model number.

Finding it is easy and you’ve a couple of ways to locate it.

 

Finding your IMEI number on any device

  1. Dial *#06# from your device.
  2. You’ll see your IMEI number displayed on your screen.

 

Finding your IMEI number on your Apple device

You can find it in a number of places; in Settings, on your actual device, in Finder or iTunes, and on the original packaging.

Here’s how you find your IMEI number in Settings:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select General.
  3. Select About.
  4. Scroll down to find your IMEI number.

 

Find your IMEI number on your Samsung device

Here’s how to find your IMEI number on your Samsung device:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select About phone or About device.
  3. You’ll see your IMEI, model number and serial number displayed on-screen.

On older devices you may need to select Status to see your IMEI, model number and serial number.

Your IMEI, serial number and model number are also printed on the back of your Samsung device.

 

Finding your IMEI number on your Android device

Here’s how to find your IMEI number in the settings on your Android device:

  1. Go to the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and select About Phone.
  3. Scroll down to find your IMEI number.
