WHICH DEVICES CAN USE AN EE eSIM?

Some EE devices use and support eSIMs (electronic SIMs). eSIMs work just like a traditional SIM card but they’re embedded in the device so they can’t be removed. An eSIM includes everything you need to connect to the EE network.

Devices have different eSIM capabilities. Here's an explanation of the headings we use in the tables below, so you can understand how your device works with eSIMs.

• eSIM capable - the device has a virtual SIM card embedded in it.
• Seamless download - the device is an eSIM-enabled device which works out of the box.
• Subscription transfer (Apple devices only) - you can transfer an eSIM on an existing Apple device to your new Apple device. 
• Convert to eSIM (Apple devices only) - you can replace your physical SIM card in your device with a virtual one in your device's settings, with just one click.
• Dual active eSIM - your device can have two active eSIMs at the same time.
• Deploy to Device (DTD) push install - your eSIM can be pushed onto any eSIM-capable Apple and Android device (including BYOD - Bring your own device) if you're supplying the device EID.
  
• Deploy to Device (DTD) MDM install - you can manage all of your eSIMs via your mobile device management (MDM) provider, making things simple and easy. 
  What's an EID? An EID is a unique 32-digit number that's assigned to an eSIM. It stands for Equipment Identifier. It can be found alongside your device's IMEI, both on the box and in your device's settings.
