eSIM Apple Watch

With an Apple Watch from EE, you can make and receive calls, use apps, stream music and podcasts, receive notifications and more without being connected to your phone.

Apple Watch is available to new and existing EE customers on our Individual, Team, and Shared plans. To use it, you’ll need a Business Smart Watch plan. If you’ve purchased an Apple Watch from elsewhere, please request an Apple Watch subscription from your mobile administrator.

Setting up your Apple Watch purchased from EE

Please make sure your iPhone and Apple Watch are updated to the latest software before you setup your Watch.

  1. Turn on your watch and make sure it’s in range of your iPhone.
  2. From the watch App on your iPhone, select set up for me and follow the instructions to pair the watch.
  3. Continue through the Watch Set Up to add the Mobile Plan and select Set Up Mobile Service when prompted to do so. (Click here if you are setting up your Watch on an iPhone with a dual SIM setup).
  4. Watch pairing can take up to four hours although it’s usually much quicker, you’ll get an alert when it’s ready to use.
  5. And that’s it, you’re now ready to use your Apple Watch with EE.

  3. From your Watch App go to Mobile Service-Add a New Plan and follow the instructions. (Click here if you are setting up your Watch on an iPhone with a dual SIM setup).
  4. Watch pairing can take up to four hours although it is usually much quicker, you’ll get an alert when it’s ready to use.
  5.  And that’s it, you’re now ready to use your Apple Watch with EE.

Setting up your Watch with a dual SIM setup on your iPhone?

When prompted to "Add Mobile Service" ensure you select the correct SIM/line.

If you have a Business and Personal setup, ensure that the Business line is selected.

If you have already selected the incorrect line and are seeing an expired message appear, please call your mobile support team, and request a replacement eSIM for your Watch. When attempting to re add, please ensure you select the Business line when prompted.

Which iPhones are compatible with Business Smart Watch Plans?

All iPhones from the iPhone XS/ SE (2nd generation) running iOS 17.2 and above.

Will I have a new number for my Apple Watch?

No, you’ll be able to receive calls and make calls on your Apple Watch, with your existing number.

What are the benefits of having a Business Smart watch plan?

With the watch you can stay connected even when you leave your phone behind.

You can:

  • Make or receive calls,
  • stream music,
  • view app and email notifications.

Does my Apple watch always need to be connected via Bluetooth?

Once paired and activated successfully, the Apple Watch can be used independently. It doesn’t require the iPhone to be connected all the time.

Can I use my watch which was purchases elsewhere?

Yes, Business Smart Watch plans are compatible with devices purchased elsewhere, please request an Apple Watch subscription from your mobile administrator.

I’m receiving a message saying EE isn’t supported and to contact my mobile administrator.

You  need to be allocated an Apple Watch subscription, please contact your mobile administrator to get one added.

Can I use my Samsung Smart watch with EE?

No, currently this is only available for Apple.
