What is Fast Lane?
Your business, prioritised. When the network gets busy, put your business in the Fast Lane.
Available on 5G+, Fast Lane gives you up to 5x network priority over customers who don't have Fast Lane when demand is high.
Fast Lane automatically gives you priority when the network is busy, helping keep your connection responsive when lots of people are using the network.
So, when you're surrounded by hundreds or even thousands of people, you're closer to the front of the network queue.
Whether you're uploading content to your business socials, joining a video call or taking payments on the move, Fast Lane helps keep you connected when demand is high.
How does Fast Lane differ from 5G+?
5G+ gives you EE's fastest, most responsive mobile experience. Fast Lane is an additional benefit available on 5G+ that gives eligible customers network priority when demand is high.
In simple terms, 5G+ gives you access to EE's most advanced 5G experience, while Fast Lane helps prioritise your mobile data whenever the network is busy.
In busy places such as city centres, transport hubs, stadiums and events, Fast Lane can help keep business apps responsive, improve video call quality and help card payments go through more quickly.
Who can get Fast Lane?
You can get Fast Lane if you are:
- New Small Business customers taking an eligible Full Works handset plan.
- Existing Small Business customers who re-sign onto an eligible Full Works handset plan.
- Customers with:
- An eligible EE plan
- A compatible device
- An eligible SIM
- Access to EE 5G+ coverage in their location.

How do I check if I’m connected to Fast Lane?
- There’s currently no Fast Lane icon or indicator on your device, so you won’t see a visual notification when Fast Lane is active. A 5G+ indicator will be introduced in the future – we’re working on it.
- If you’re on an eligible plan, using a compatible device and SIM, and connected to 5G+ coverage, you’ll be able to benefit from Fast Lane when network conditions require it.
What if I have both products, Network Boost and Fast Lane?
If you have both Network Boost and Fast Lane, you will continue to receive up to 1.7x priority if you are connected to 4G or 5G NSA. If you are accessing 5G+, then you will receive up to 5x priority, as this priority is set on Fast Lane.
