5G+ is the next evolution of 5G mobile connectivity. It provides better coverage in crowded areas, and a faster and more reliable connection. Enhanced security features keep your data even safer and by 2030, 5G+ from EE aims to be nationwide, covering most of the UK's population.

We launched 5G+ to our business customers in 2024, and now it’s available free and inclusive to a wider range of Business Price Plans.

How does 5G+ differ from 5G?

Our first generation 5G network was built as 5G non-standalone (NSA), so it still relied on the existing 4G core network. It meant that the full potential of 5G was limited.

5G+ has changed all that. Thanks to new standalone architecture, it offers better spectrum usage, improved coverage, lower latency, and higher overall speed performance. 

That’s why it’s our most powerful form of 5G connectivity, giving you more reliable mobile internet, faster download and upload speeds, and improved video call and streaming experiences, even in the busiest locations and at peak times. 

EE’s 5G+ connectivity covers more than 50 million people across the UK and has also extended its use of world-first technologies to boost network performance and reliability in London and other major cities.

Small businesses on 5G+ 

• Available on all business Full Works, All Rounder, Essentials and No Frills plans.
• If you’re on a pay monthly SIM Only plan, you might be able to upgrade within the Minimum Term* to a 5G+ inclusive plan without incurring any charges.
• On a pay monthly device-inclusive plan? If you’re within your Minimum Term*, you may be eligible for an early upgrade, but please check your options, as charges may apply depending upon your plan type and contract length.
