WHAT’S STANDARD MRC TRADE-IN FOR BUSINESS CUSTOMERS?
Waste Less. Save More. EE standard Monthly Reoccurring Charge (MRC) trade-in is an easy and cost-effective way to get the latest devices for less.
You save money by trading in your old phone with EE. We’ll securely refurbish or recycle your old device and you’ll receive a monthly credit to save money off your bill.
Plus, because our network, is powered by 100% renewable energy, you’re getting a great deal and together we’re taking steps today to build a better tomorrow.
Why it’s great
- It’s Easy! All you have need to do is wait for the returns bag to arrive, pop your device in it and post it back for free.
- Cheaper Repayments: When you trade in a device, the value will be applied as a monthly credit making your new monthly plan even cheaper.
- Recycle: Working with Likewize, our trade-in partner, all old devices are securely refurbished and recycled.
- Price Promise: We understand that devices are second-hand, so won’t penalise you for minor blemishes. Answer the grading questions and return within 14 days, to receive the full value quoted.
- Secure: All data is removed from your old device, as we re-wipe them before any refurbishment or resale.

Trade-in for existing Business customers
If you have a device and you’re looking to upgrade an existing contract to a new plan, then good news. When you chose to trade-in you will receive a monthly credit to reduce your repayments for the first 24 months.
Your trade-in device can be in any condition. We will just need to ask a few simple questions to determine the condition and value of your device.
Standard MRC trade-in is only applicable to eligible EE Business Plans.
To arrange a trade-in simply call 0800 956 6108 during the following opening hours:
- 9am – 7pm (Monday to Friday)
- 9am – 5pm (Saturday)
Trade-in for new Business customers
If you have a device and you’re looking to join EE by taking a new connection, then good news. When you chose to trade-in your current device you will receive a monthly credit to reduce your repayments for the first 24 months.
Your trade-in device can be in any condition. We will just need to ask a few simple questions to determine the condition and value of your device.
Standard MRC trade-in is only applicable to eligible EE Business Plans.

Who’s eligible to Trade-in their device?
Standard MRC trade-in is available to customers taking a new business plan as a New Connection or Upgrade. The offer is:
- Only available to existing customers when they are eligible to upgrade.
- Not available for Anytime Upgrade.
- Not available on Business Connect plans.
What we need to know
If you’re eligible, we’ll need to know the model, condition and the IMEI number of the device being traded in.
Your trade-in device can be in any condition. We will just need to ask a few simple questions to determine the condition and value of your device.

What you need to know
The monthly recurring credit applies for 24 months or 36 months from when the first credit was applied. See table below for details:
Minimum Term | Length of monthly credit | Removal of monthly credit |
24 months | 24 months | The monthly credit will be removed at the end of month 24 |
30 months | 24 months | The monthly credit will be removed at the end of month 24 |
36 months | 24 or 36 months as chosen by you | The monthly credit will be removed at either the end of month 24 or 36 depending on the length of monthly credit you have agreed to |
Please note: If a device plan is longer than 24 months and the length of monthly credit selected is 24 months, the credit will automatically be removed and will be no longer applicable from month 25 onwards.
We use a third-party company called Likewize to arrange the returns package and complete the device trade-in for us. Just so you’re aware we don’t have the means to send a new returns pack as it’s completed by Likewize.
For any questions not relating to the actual return please contact EE.
Once you’ve made a Trade-in request, you’ll receive an email confirmation from Likewize. They’ll also send a text reminder to your contact mobile number.
If you’ve not received your returns package within five days of receiving the email confirmation, you can request a new returns pack from Likewize. Just follow the instructions contained within the email confirmation to reorder.

Your trade-in device must be returned within 14 days from receipt of your new equipment using the returns pack. If you don’t return the device, you’ll receive text and email reminders from Likewize until you complete the Trade in request.
If a device isn’t returned via the returns package, we’ll remove the monthly discount from your account.
All Apple Trade-in devices must have Find My iPhone turned off before being returned.
