How to get Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered)
If you’re already an EE Business customer, just text McAfee to 150 or:
- Log in to EE or use the EE app.
- Go to Menu > Plans, Inclusive Extras & add-ons.
- Select Add-ons and follow the steps to select Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered).
If you’re not an EE Business customer yet, you’ll need to buy a pay monthly device or SIM.

How to install Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered) software
- Once Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered) has been added to your account, you’ll receive a text from EE Business, which will have a link to start the activation process.
- As part of the process, you’ll be sent a one-time pin validation request and you’ll also be asked to validate the email address, you registered with.
- Next, you’ll receive an email from McAfee, where you’ll need to set up your account. Just click the link in the email and follow the onscreen instructions to create your password.
- Once this is set up, you’ll be able to download the software.

There are two main roles in Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered). Users or employees who use the protected devices and an administrator who enrols the users and generally manages the business’ protection.
Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered) for Administrators
As an administrator, you can enrol new users, install Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered) to your own device, plus email your employees so they can install it on their device.

How to install Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered) on your device or email protection to users:
- From the dashboard, click Add/Manage devices.
- Click Add device.
- From here, you can click download to download and install protection on the current device or go back to the Security Console tab and click Email link. Emails are usually sent to the registered users email address.
- Your user will then need to open the email from the device they want to protect and tap Download protection.
- Just follow the prompts to download and install protection.
- The device is now protected and automatically added to the Security Console.

Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered) for employees and additional users
First, your Administrator needs to arrange for you to install Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered). When you receive your installation link by email, you can protect your devices:
- You'll receive an email from your administrator, with details for downloading Business Antivirus Protection (McAfee powered).
- To install your software, follow the steps under your operating system below.
The steps below are for Windows 11, 10, and 8.1 devices. Windows 8.0, 7.x, and earlier aren't supported.
- Go to protection.mcafee.com.
- Select Get started.
- Type the email address and password for your McAfee account.
- Click Sign in.
- Scroll down to the My protection section.
- On the Antivirus tile, click Download now.
- On the next screen, select Download.
- Read and accept the license agreement.
- Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation.
- Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
