HOW DO I TRANSFER MY ACCOUNT?

Changing names or account contacts

If you’ve changed your business name, or if you’d like to change the main contacts who have permission to manage the account, please email sbcorrespondence@ee.co.uk with the information below.

If you have a limited company and both the company registration number and name have been changed, please refer to the Transfer ownership to another business drop-down section.

Changing the business name

1.  A copy of one of the following documents:

For Sole Traders or a Small Partnerships:

  • Utility bill
  • Bank
  • Credit card statement
  • Cheque book

The document needs to show either the business name, 'trading as', or that it’s for a business account.

For Limited Companies:

  • A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation on Change of Name
  • Authorisation to update the account as an attached company headed letter signed by the Director, Company Secretary, or existing account holder

For Large Partnerships, Governments or Charities: 

Authorisation to update the account as an attached company headed letter signed by one of the below:

  • Large Partnership - Director / Company Secretary / Existing Account holder
  • Charity - Treasurer / Chairperson / Vice-Chairperson / Secretary
  • Government - Chief executive (CEO) / Director / Head teacher (if School) 

2.  In your email please make sure you include:

  • The current business name of your account
  • Your EE Account number
  • Your first name
  • Your last name
  • A contact number
  • Your email address
  • Your new business name

Changing the main contact

You can assign two main contacts to your EE Small Business account. They’ve full account access including authority to cancel contracts and buy additional contracts and products.

If you want to change the main contacts, we’ll need the following information. It’s a good idea to copy the information below into your email to make sure you’ve included everything.

1.  Authorisation to update the account

Send us a company headed letter signed by one of the following:

  • Limited Company / Large Partnership – Director / Company Secretary / Existing Account holder
  • Charity – Treasurer / Chairperson / Vice-Chairperson / Secretary
  • Government – Chief executive (CEO) / Director / Head teacher (if school) 

2.  In your email make sure you include:

  • The current business name of your account
  • Your EE Account number
  • The details of your main contacts:
    • First main contact
      • First name
      • Last name
      • Contact number
      • Email address
    • Second main contact
      • First name
      • Last name
      • Contact number
      • Email address
    • Your details:
      • Your first name
      • Your last name
      • Your contact number
      • Your email address

We need your contact details just in case we have to get in touch with you about this request.  A confirmation email will be sent to this email address, when the account has been updated.

We’ll confirm the details of your request by email within 5-7 working days of receipt of it.

Changing your name

If you’ve changed your name through marriage, divorce or deed poll, we’ll need a covering letter and a copy of one of these documents:

  • Your marriage or civil partnership certificate
  • Your passport and a recent utility bill
  • Your deed poll
  • Your decree absolute
