HELP CONNECTING YOUR ANDROID DEVICE TO Wi-Fi

Having trouble connecting your Android device to Wi-Fi? Either look at our easy-to-follow guide on how to connect to a Wi-Fi network

or try these quick fixes:

Switch on Wi-Fi on your Android device

These steps work for most Android devices, but some may have different ways to switch on Wi-Fi.

  • Open Settings
  • In Wireless and Networks or Connections, select Wi-Fi
  • Switch on Wi-Fi

Move into Wi-Fi range

If none of the bars are showing in the Wi-Fi connection icon at the top of your screen, you’ve no Wi-Fi signal — try moving closer to the Wi-Fi router for a stronger connection.

Restart the Wi-Fi router

These steps work for most routers:

  • Unplug the router’s power source.
  • Wait 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power source back in again.
  • When the lights come back on the router has restarted.

For full instructions on restarting your router check the manual.

If you still can’t connect your Android device to Wi-Fi, you may need to contact the internet service provider for your router.
