Pounds and pence price increases – FAQs
At EE Business, we’re moving away from Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus 3.9% annual price increases which are linked to inflation, and instead moving to a fixed pounds and pence approach (£/p).
If you took out or upgraded your plan on or before 1 September 2024
If you’re a customer who took out or upgraded your plan on or before 1 September 2024, you will remain on a CPI+3.9% contract and be subject to our CPI+3.9% price increase as outlined in your terms and conditions. This increase will be applied on or after 31 March 2025.
For example, in 2024, the CPI rate that we used to calculate our price change was 4.00%, so the total increase was 7.9%.

Frequently asked questions
Why is EE Business moving away from CPI+3.9% price increases to a pounds and pence approach?
This new approach will provide our small business customers with more certainty. Customers will know exactly what their monthly plan price will be for each year of their contract before they sign up.
How can I find out what my price increase will be?
The level of price increase will be communicated to you in the pre contract document or order form you receive when signing up for our services.
Does the price increase amount include VAT?
No – the amount stated in your pre contract document excludes VAT.
Why am I still receiving a CPI+3.9% price increase?
Customers on existing CPI+3.9% contracts will continue to receive price increases as outlined in their terms and conditions. New or re-signing customers will receive the new pounds and pence price increase. This will be made clear to you in your pre-contract document or order form.
When do prices increase?
Prices for EE Business plans increase from 31 March each year.
Why do you increase your prices?
Whether it’s through your mobile or broadband service, it’s more important than ever to keep everyone and everything connected. Our annual price change helps us continue to invest to bring you a better, more reliable experience and the best value for your money. It’s also important as our own costs continue to increase, so the price change means we can continue to maintain the best networks and provide customer service in more ways than ever before.
Our annual price increases happen every year on 31 March as mentioned in Section 7.6 of your network terms. Your network terms also allow us to put up other charges – check Section 7.
You can check all your network terms on our Business terms page – specifically in our Pay Monthly Terms for Small Business Customers section.
What happens if I upgrade?
When you decide to upgrade, you will be subject to our latest terms and will be advised about the annual price increase impact to your new price plan and other products at the point of the upgrade.
What if I have a discount on my plan?
You’ll still receive any discounts you get. We apply the price increase to the net price of your plan after discounting. Log in to your EE account to check your plan’s details.
What is an add-on?
An add-on is a package of minutes, messages, data or services you can buy.
You can find details of any active add-ons you may have on your latest EE bill or on EE.
What is an out-of-bundle charge?
As part of your price plan, you'll get a call, text and data allowance. There are restrictions on where and how you use these, for example calls will be restricted to UK mobile networks and UK landlines starting with 01, 02 and 03.
When you go over these limits, you'll be charged according to our standard rates. These are also known as out-of-bundle charges, such as calling to and from abroad.
There is information about selected out-of-bundle and most popular add-ons charges including details of the price increase at business.ee.co.uk/outofbundlecharges/
Can I cancel my contract?
Yes, but if you cancel before the end of the minimum term of your price plan, you’ll need to pay a termination charge for cancelling early.
If you’re out of contract, you can end your service with no termination charges, but we’ll need 30 days’ notice. If you move to another provider and your switch date falls within the notice period, we won’t charge you after the switch takes place, but bear in mind there may be other outstanding charges.
We really hope you’ll stay though. Give us a call on 0800 956 5046 to chat about your options.
