I already have a SIM on my device, how do I set up the new eSIM?

What happens if we’re porting?

If you’re porting over your number, your mobile admin will confirm the port date. Set up your device in the same manner. Please remove your old SIM card once the port is completed to automatically set your default settings to the new eSIM. To change the default settings later, go to Settings/Mobile Data.

eSIM setup is complete, still no signal. What do I do?

If you have completed the eSIM setup but there’s still no signal, reboot your device but don’t delete your eSIM at any given time unless asked by your administrator.

Can I use all the device services once the eSIM is downloaded?

When your eSIM has been downloaded, it can take upto one hour for your new service to be fully activated.

Which MDM supports the eSIM install journey?

We’ve worked with established MDM providers such as Ivanti Neurons for MDM (formerly MobileIron) Intune, Jamf Pro and VMWare Workspace One to make sure you can extract EID’s for iOS devices and offer the MDM install journey. (Known on the majority of MDMs as the ‘eSIM refresh journey’) Many other MDM providers also support this functionality, please speak to your specific MDM provider directly to confirm if it’s something they offer.
